Workshop sports nutrition

If becoming a better athlete in the sport of CrossFit is a goal, then nutrition plays a key role too. Therefore, we are hosting another Sports Nutrition Workshop on Saturday, September 27th.

What is sports nutrition, and how is it different from simply eating to stay healthy? If you want to get more out of your training and better understand how your body works, this workshop is for you. We’ll dive into the details—while healthy eating is mostly about getting the basics right, sports nutrition requires doing a bit more to ensure you perform at your best and recover effectively from training. Finding that balance can be tricky. How do you know if a strategy is actually helpful or just a waste of time and energy?

When does it make sense to pay attention to your carbs, meal/macronutrient timing, and when can creatine help boost your performance?

We’ll also touch on the risks of training too hard: what is too much? How can you recognize the symptoms of overtraining, and what should you do about it?

In addition to CrossFit, we’ll discuss strategies for other competitions such as Hyrox or endurance events like marathons, triathlons, or adventure races—since many of you compete in those alongside CrossFit.
